What does Yoga mean to you / how does Yoga enhance your life?

Yoga has been a part of my holistic healthcare for the past 21 years. Witnessing how the alignment of ones’ asanas provides profound cathartic escapes & euphoric energy along with maintaining strength & flexibility as you age - all the while bringing balance to the body, mind, and overall well-being has been an honor. Practicing yoga allows me to create a safe haven within, whilst honoring my temple through foundational poses. Ultimately, providing piece of mind through movement.

What words or mantra do you live by?

During my daily meditations and walks in the woods near my home in the PNW. I recite the following mantra to myself; whilst utilizing my breath to bring additional balance and stillness to my body: ‘Strength & Stability, Gratitude & Growth, Breath & Balance, Healing & Heart-centered Living’. As these are the attributes I’m attaining to live a sustainable, stress-free life, filled with self-love and sacred awareness for being at one with myself.

What will you do with the $10,000?

Being awarded this gracious sum will allow me to expand my business by establishing a registered Yoga & Wellness retreat on my family’s farm in rural Arkansas. Aiding in my ability to bring awareness & access of the beneficial affects asanas have on the lives of the BIPOC beings in my community; where wellness centers are out of reach physically & financially. Being able to do so would be a blessing to my ancestors, and those along my path as well.
