I want to share how to help people feel more balanced in their bodies and minds and our mission to bring yoga to children with cancer.
We would like to thank you for supporting Kim Preveza in this year's competition. Your support enables our company to contribute to the Veterans Yoga Project, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization supporting recovery and resilience among our veterans, families, and communities.
Yoga enhances life with balance. It helps me feel energized when I am fatigued, calmer when I am overwhelmed, grounded when I am unmoored. It helps every layer. As a child it helped with my scoliosis. As an adult I found its mental benefits. I follow and teach all aspects of Yoga, ways of living, body, mind, and spirit. When my daughter got cancer I taught her breathing techniques to help. At age 6 she wanted to bring Yoga to other children with cancer. Yoga means a path from suffering to peace
So Hum which means I am That. It is also the sound of the breath. It helps me focus on my breath. It also means radical self acceptance to me. I am That. I am connected to my highest self and something beyond my self.
I will use the funds to help make the Yoga I teach more accessible and to reach more children with cancer. I will make my yoga studio, Life Full Yoga, more accessible with updates to the physical space and also diversity and accessibility training for all teachers. I will also use the funds to help Childhood Cancer Kids bring more Yoga to children with cancer through hospital outreach and training Yoga Teachers to help.
