Vance is a first responder who found his yoga practice during a difficult time in his life. It has since helped him find his center and create a healthy release from the stress of daily life. Vance hopes to share his yoga experience with other first responders and help them find a practice to calm both body and mind.
On top of taking home the title of Yoga Warrior, Vance will be jetting off on an unforgettable yoga trip to Sedona, sharing his story in the pages of Yoga Journal, and taking home $10,000. He hopes to use the money to complete his iRest Training Certification, work with existing first responder organizations to add yoga to their wellness programs, and host a First Responder Yoga Retreat. Vance’s story and resilience are incredible, and we cannot wait to see what he will accomplish in his efforts to bring yoga to those in need!
We’d also like to extend a huge thank you to the rest of our Yoga Warrior Community! The 2nd annual Yoga Warrior Competition was better than ever. You and your supporters helped us spread the word about Veterans Yoga Project and its mission to help veterans recovering from post-traumatic stress and other psychological difficulties through yoga and mindfulness practices.
The Yoga Warrior Competition supports veterans recovering from post-traumatic stress and other psychological difficulties. We’re proud to have partnered with Veterans Yoga Project to join their mission of recovery and resilience among those who have served and sacrificed.
